Kingspan Renewables Ltd is expanding its market leading Kingspan Solar range with the introduction of high performance flat plate collectors. The advanced Thermomax FN 2m² flat plates feature innovative solar technology, ventilation and drainage characteristics specifically designed for Northern European climates.
Delivering cost-effective, low carbon renewable energy, the Thermomax FN series collectors are perfect both for commercial and domestic usage. They are simple and flexible to install, provide optimum performance levels whatever the weather condition and are also elegant in design.
Made solely from environmentally friendly and recyclable materials, the new collectors guarantee the highest quality, having undergone stringent thermal shock and tensile tests. Each collector is equipped with a laser-welded copper absorber with four connectors along with an optimised aperture area for maximum efficiency. Heat loss is eliminated through the rigorous prevention of thermal bridges and its innovative ventilation and drainage design means the collector dries extremely quickly, preventing it from being adversely affected by wet weather.
Reliability and durability are key attributes of the new collectors. The flat plates are fitted with a secure glass mount made of UV resistant material, which features two separate sealing levels and the frame is manufactured from a single piece of weather-resistant aluminum. They have been tested to ISO 12975 for performance and durability, achieved Solar Keymark status and also come with a ten year guarantee.
The Thermomax FN collectors are the perfect solution to meeting hot water demands, as people are able to significantly reduce carbon emissions along with energy costs. Commenting on the new addition to the Kingspan Solar portfolio, New Technology Manager Jonathan Jennings says: “Thanks to Thermomax systems people can now get solar-heated water throughout the year, whatever the weather and whatever the scale.
“Reliance on traditional fossil fuels is quickly becoming less of a viable option and solar energy is clean, free and safe, producing none of the carbon emissions that are a major contributor to global warming. In today’s social and economical climate, with issues such as fuel poverty becoming increasingly more common it’s inevitable and key that we’re now seeing a shift towards renewable technologies and we at Kingspan Renewables have a firm commitment to ensuring we meet the needs of the present without compromising our future.”
